Shannon believes that interior spaces should feel natural and inviting; like you never want to leave.  She creates her designs with purpose and intention, keeping that goal in mind.  Shannon first discovered her passion for design, color theory and retail spaces while earning her Bachelor of Science in Merchandise Management at Oregon State University.   She began in-store and discovered a love of inviting spaces through visual presentation early in her retail career.  After a brief time away from the apparel industry, Shannon eventually found her way back.  She missed the creative outlet that visual merchandising provided.  Shannon continued to develop her visual presentation skills at Nike and Columbia Sportswear headquarter offices.  After 10 years, she decided it was time to focus on her favorite part of the creative process and pursue it 100% of the time!  This exploration led her to interior design, something she had been doing at home and at work in planning retail spaces. The Heritage School of Interior Design was the perfect fit to learn the theories and processes of the Interior Design industry.  Shannon received her Masters Certification at the Heritage School for Interior Design and fulfilled her entrepreneurial dreams by launching Instinctive Interiors, LLC in June 2019.

 

In her personal world, she and her husband, Stew, are busy with two active teenagers. Growing up in Hawaii, food and family were a large part of the culture that Shannon continues.  She loves cooking, spending quality time with her family and traveling.
